In 2017, we set up our Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship Program to help even more young people during their studies. Our program was created to help raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving, one of the most significant causes of accidents involving teens.
This year, we are once again offering this scholarship under a new name; The 2023 Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Focused Driver Scholarship.
Some application deadlines have not yet been announced. In those cases, the dates posted are based on the scholarship provider’s most recent information. Please confirm each deadline via the provider’s website.
Must be from a specific set of cities and counties in Virginia
Currently enrolled in a course of study at any accredited community or junior college, or an undergraduate or graduate degree program anywhere in the United States
Good academic standing
3.0 GPA
May not be offered this year - verify status with the scholarship provider
Three awards of $2,000
Applications will be accepted from students in the following cities and counties in Virginia:

- Portsmouth
- Chesapeake
- Virginia Beach
- Newport News
- Hampton
- Isle of Wight
- York County
- Poquoson
- Northampton County
- Accomack County
- James City
- Surry County
- Williamsburg
