George V. Powell Diversity Scholarship
Lane Powell
Each year, Lane Powell makes the George V. Powell Diversity Scholarship available for a Summer Associate in the firm’s Seattle or Portland office, and each George V. Powell Scholar receives a scholarship toward tuition and/or expenses during the student’s third year of law school.
Some application deadlines have not yet been announced. In those cases, the dates posted are based on the scholarship provider’s most recent information. Please confirm each deadline via the provider’s website.
2L students in good standing at an ABA accredited law school (candidates in four-year joint degree programs will be considered after their third year)
Contribute meaningfully to the diversity of the legal community
Demonstrated desire to work, live, and eventually practice law in Seattle or Portland
Academic achievements and record of leadership abilities, community service, and involvement in community issues will be taken into consideration
Practice in Seattle or Portland
